A Dose of Happiness
In positive psychology research, gratitude is strongly and consistently associated with greater happiness. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships.
When you are going through a tough time, try to have a positive lens on your situation, and see what are you still grateful for.
I find it helpful to list 5 to 10 things I am grateful for each morning and every night. A beautiful way to start my day, and to end it peacefully.
Here is a quick fun game you can try now:
- on a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your happiness at this moment?
- now set a timer for 60 seconds and during this time, just list things that you are grateful for, you may repeat them but don’t stop listing until the time is up.
- now, on a scale of 1 to 10, how would you rate your happiness? was there a shift for you?
I am grateful for you to be taking charge of your health and happiness :)
